Aegis II Wiki

Most standard D&D gods have some presence in the world of Aegis, but some are substantially different from their vanilla counterparts due to a closer involvement in the world's cosmology. There are also several setting-specific deities. Gods are categorized here by their most common places of worship and/or origin when they lived on the Prime; many gods are worshiped in multiple places across the Prime and beyond.

The Overgod[]

Many cultures across Aegis have some conception of a First God/Goddess that existed before and created all other gods, and possibly existence itself. Beliefs about what then happened to this being vary; some cultures place them within their pantheon as a single god, others believe their power was distributed between various beings.

Gods of Nyasa and Related Civilizations[]

Pelor was the first god-king of Nyasa, born to mortal parents and ascending through his goodness and glory after a long reign as the first great leader of the Nyasa Civilization.

St Cuthbert was the son of Pelor incarnated and a mortal woman; in live he was a cleric of Pelor and the Nyasan Pope before his ascension to godhood beside his father.

Cross is the current Nyasan Pope and widely expected to ascend to godhood at the end of his papacy.

Anahita Benin is an unusually influential waterfall goddess, the spirit of Benin Skyfall. She has few worshippers but is well-known because of the political and military power of her daughter and high priestess, Leilah Maloch, a god-like (but not divine) figure in her own right.

Northern Continent Gods[]

Faust the Caring is the god of magic. He cares about you. In fact, he's watching you right now. You just missed him.

Selmina is an ancestor-spirit of Ravinia, incarnated in a skull that gives evil people dirty looks if they start getting up to anything too imperialistic.

Ethan Dragonslayer is the undead god of wholesale dragon slaughter. He's known for being a pretty nice guy, if you set aside the whole genocide thing.

Fae Queen Titania is a very minor goddess who rules the fey of Elderfey Wild. Legend has it she once had far greater power, but was betrayed by her sister, Dark Queen Mab of the Ornan Feywild.

Secret Gods[]

Vecna is worshiped in different forms by different cultures. The rest is a secret.

The Forgotten God, known somewhat flippantly as Anonye, sits between the Shadow Realm and the Hells bopping on the head anything that shouldn't be coming across the border. He has been known to appear in multiple avatars at once, and has extreme power over his border domain. Much of his existence is impossible to remember.

John is an elder spirit whose name is whispered by the lemurs off the coast of A'lal.

The Casters[]

Talos, the Dreamer, was the First Caster. She presided over the transition between the First and Second Ages, and attempted to resist the transition to the Third Age, believing it to be futile. Her name and likeness can only be remembered by those who have been through the Halls of the Forgotten.

Xenteroth, the Chessmaster, was the Second Caster. He presided over the transition between the Second and Third Ages, during which he was betrayed and many great things were lost. His name and likeness can only be remembered by those who have been through the Halls of the Forgotten.

Ashra, the Puzzlesolver, is some douchebag was the Third Caster. She presided over the transition between the Third and Fourth Ages, and exists still on the Prime, though she rarely identifies herself to those outside her inner circle and prefers to influence the world through proxies. Or a big recording in the Halls of the Forgotten with "plus you win a sweet illithid ship now please save the world." She's subtle that way.
